Fine Print: The above rates are based on the following conditions:
1. Travel distance: Performance location is within 50 miles of downtown Sacramento, based on AAA or googlemaps Mileages. Longer distances require additional compensation for travel time, transportation costs, and for lodging if engagement is 100 miles or more from Sacramento and performance ends after dark, requiring overnight stay.
2. Music Program: The bandleader selects the tunes to be played, which may include random requests from listeners. The band is not required to perform a "show" or employer-selected list of tunes, or to accompany any singer or instrumentalist who is not part of the band. This does not preclude playing a few tune requests. The band is not required to practice or rehearse with any non-band person wanting to perform with the band. We can provide such accompaniment services, for additional compensation based on musicians’ time involvement and complexity of expected accompaniment.
3. Timely arrival and departure: Band is allowed to set up it's equipment within forty-five minutes before the contracted start of the performance, and to remove it's equipment and depart within fifteen minutes of the contracted ending time. A corridor at least four feet wide will be provided for enabling the band to transport equipment to the bandstand area. If the band is required to setup more than an hour before the performance, or cammot remove its equipment immediately following the performance, the extra time involved will be considered performance overtime and charged for accordingly.
4. Attire: Band can choose it's own uniform clothing. Such clothing will always be in taste and appropriate for the occasion. Rental or purchase of any special costuming required by the purchaser must be paid for by the purchaser. (We have been required to wear sports referee shirts, firemen's helmets, construction hard hats, etc.) Tuxedos are not considered special costumes, and may be requested by the purchaser at no additional cost.
